Pilot Air VMC Valve For Petrol Air Compressors

Pilot Air VMC valves are designed specifically for Pilot Air Petrol series of air compressors. Petrol driven air compressors can not turn off the motor like an electric air compressor, instead the VMC valve will blow off air and allow the pump to by-pass. 

The VMC valve also has an air outlet port connecting a hose from to an air solenoid mounted on the Honda Petrol Engine which controls the throttle. When the VMC valve is closed the air pressure opens the solenoid and increases the engine rpm. When the tank reaches maximum pressure the VMC opens allowing air from the pump to by-pass and at the same time the solenoid on the motor closes reducing the engine to idle. 

The VMC valve can have the differential pressure adjusted but you will need to understand how to do this, these valve are set to the correct cut-out pressure and don’t require adjustment.

Always read the manufacturers instructions before fitting and be sure to relieve Air from the tank and turn the air compressor off.
